SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
2024-2025 Academic Year

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS APRIL 11, 2025 AT 4PM CST

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to apply for a Diamondback Athletic Booster Club Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

Student Criteria

    • Must be an active senior athlete/manager/trainer at SPHS graduating in the Class of 2024-2025.
    • Must have participated in a sport for each year seeking scholarship eligibility  
    • Must be graduating in good standing (A transcript must be submitted and DABC will consult with administration before awarding).
    • Must write an original essay for the topic assigned.

Essay Prompt: “What teacher or coach has had the most impact in your life and how?” Please tell us teacher/coach’s name, school they are from and how they impacted your life. 

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university the Fall semester after graduation or enlisted in the military.

Parent Criteria

  • Student’s family must be an active member of the Diamondback Athletic Booster Club with paid annual dues a minimum of one (1) year, to include student’s senior year. Scholarship offer amount will be based on the number of years the student’s family is an active member of DABC.
  • Active Membership includes a paid membership, with parents/family volunteering for a minimum of ten (10) hours and attending a minimum of five (5) meeting each academic year.
  • DABC Membership is $25.00 per year, per family. 

TO APPLY

  1. FILL OUT ONLINE APPLICATION and SUBMIT Scholarship application and required documents by the deadline of APRIL 11, 2025 by 4:00pm CST (link here)
  2. COMPLETE Essay “What teacher or coach has had the most impact in your life and how?” Minimum 1 page. Double Spaced. 12pt font.
  3. UPLOAD your essay to DABC website (link here)
  4. UPLOAD your high school transcript to DABC website (link here)
  5. Member of Booster Club Verified member of Booster Club for 2024-2025 school year – $25.00 membership fee and the minimum required volunteer hours completed (form here).

Scholarship funds will be disbursed at the end of year on a date TBD (before graduation)
